3. VIDEO SUBMISSIONS, STUDENT PROFILES, POINTS, AND CERTIFICATES

Road to Virtuosity uses performance videos to verify completed repertoire, award points, support certificates, and build student progress records.

Public Submissions

Public submissions are free and are reviewed by other Road to Virtuosity users.

For public submissions, students must submit a YouTube video link. A YouTube channel is required because the video must be viewable by community reviewers.

YouTube videos submitted for public review must be set to Public or Unlisted. Private videos cannot be shared, opened, or viewed by other users and cannot be reviewed.

Approved public submissions may earn points for the student's account and help build the student's repertoire record. Public submissions do not count toward certificates.

Private Evaluations

Private evaluations are reviewed by Road to Virtuosity admins and require a fee.

Private evaluations are required for certificate approval. If a student wants a performance to count toward a certificate, the performance must be submitted for private evaluation and approved by Road to Virtuosity admins.

Direct Uploads and Video Storage

For private evaluations or other features, Road to Virtuosity may allow direct video upload when available.

Road to Virtuosity does not permanently host large video files directly on the website in all cases. Uploaded videos may be reviewed, processed, stored, embedded, or uploaded through Road to Virtuosity systems, including unlisted Road to Virtuosity YouTube channels or other video infrastructure, for playback, verification, evaluation, certificate review, and performance tracking.

Approved videos, video links, submission results, points, certificates, and profile information may be displayed on Road to Virtuosity according to the current feature settings, submission type, and privacy settings.

Rejected, incomplete, unnecessary, or noncompliant videos may be deleted or disabled.

Student Profiles and Leaderboards

Student profiles, repertoire records, approved submissions, points, ranks, leaderboard positions, and certificates may be visible to other users or the public, depending on the design of the Services and the user's settings.

If you submit information for a student profile, leaderboard, certificate, or public submission, you understand that some of that information may become publicly visible.

4. PAYMENT INFORMATION

Road to Virtuosity may offer paid services such as private evaluations, certificates, downloads, events, courses, memberships, lessons, or other products.

We may collect transaction-related information such as:

  1. Name.
  2. Email address.
  3. Product or service purchased.
  4. Amount paid.
  5. Date of purchase.
  6. Payment status.
  7. Receipt or order details.

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment processors such as PayPal or other providers made available on the Site. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers or full payment instrument details on Road to Virtuosity servers unless expressly stated.

Payment processors have their own privacy policies and terms. Users should review those policies before making purchases.

7. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES, YOUTUBE, AND SOCIAL FEATURES

The Services may link to or interact with third-party websites and services, including YouTube, Google, PayPal, analytics providers, advertising providers, public domain sources, external sheet music sources, and other platforms.

Third-party services have their own privacy policies, terms, account rules, copyright systems, moderation practices, and data practices. Road to Virtuosity is not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, content, policies, or conduct of third-party services.

YouTube

Road to Virtuosity may use YouTube for public submissions, embedded videos, video playback, identity, moderation, storage, or unlisted video hosting.

If you submit a YouTube link, connect a YouTube channel, or interact with YouTube content, your use of YouTube is also governed by YouTube's and Google's policies.

For public submissions, YouTube videos must be Public or Unlisted. Private videos cannot be reviewed.

Social Logins

If Road to Virtuosity allows login through Google, YouTube, or another social account, we may receive information such as your name, email address, profile picture, account ID, or other information permitted by that provider and your settings.

We use social login information to create accounts, authenticate users, reduce spam, connect submissions, and provide the Services.

8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP INFORMATION?

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, operate the website, manage accounts, maintain records, comply with law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce terms, support certificates, maintain student progress records, and protect the integrity of the platform.

We may keep some information while your account remains active.

We may also keep some information after account deletion when necessary for:

Because the Services may involve performance videos, names, images, voices, and student progress, parents and guardians should carefully review privacy settings, submission choices, YouTube settings, and profile visibility before allowing a minor to participate.
